PORTUGAL

Ana was seven when her dad gave her a point-and-shoot camera, her first introduction to photography. While studying Communication Design in Germany, her connection with analogue photography solidified. “People and simplicity have always fascinated me. Long before I knew what street photography was, I was already drawn to capturing the ordinary. I believe that stopping to acknowledge the reality around us is a powerful act, and analogue photography allows me to be fully present, free from pressure. Whether the film outcome matches the visual representation and memory I have of it or not, the moment itself remains vivid and perfect in my mind. In a way, analogue photography helps me hold on to my sense of humanity.
