Laurence Donoghue: Laurence is a UK based photographer often drawn to the sea. Shooting on celluloid film, his photographs try to grab onto ephemeral, fleeting moments and reflect the bittersweetness of trying to hold onto something that cannot stay. 

Story Behind the Image: Two people walk lost in thought along the beach, unaware of the viewers above. This was taken from a bridge overlooking the bay where I live. I thought it was a great visual reminder of how small we are, no matter how big our thoughts might be. This image was captured on high ISO film, with the pronounced grain adding to its atmosphere and lending it a soft, dreamlike quality.

Paper: This piece is printed on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag, a premium, heavyweight (308gsm), bright white, 100% cotton rag paper with a smooth matte finish. This is an archival print designed to last 100+ years.
